When: since 2years
Where: Places of my childhood
About author:
After a double course of french modern literature and cultural communication, Charlotte Mano integrates Gobelins school where she currently studies photography.
Her pictures are often marked from places of her childhood to which she attaches a great importance (Arcachon Bay). It includes memories, characters, landscapes, sensations, all resulting in a watered-down atmosphere, contemplative and nostalgic. Her influences are varied: from fantasy literature of the nineteenth century Symbolist painting and contemporary Chinese surrealist through visual artists such as Dorothee Smith or painters like Marlène Dumas or Axel Katz.
We have seen her work in various places like the Museum of Contemporary Art in Nîmes, the Gallery "le Lac Gelé" (Nîmes) and the " Promenades photographiques de Vendôme", at the famous "Rencontres de la photographie" Arles, and for the next KAMPALA biennale
