Fine Art - NOMINEE: Polina Washington

All of my works are made on film, mostly in multi-exposure technique and sometimes I use soaking. Those methods help me to escape “reality” in image and create something mysterious. Places and people become unrecognizable on my shoots, like I look at them through the prism of my perception. Magical combinations of images and color organization create surreal pictures similar to dreams and visions.Connections between people and nature on my photographs tell about the unique relations of each alive form in the Universe. I try to show how close can be our understanding of ourselves and the whole World. Environment and everything around us usually becomes a mirror of our soul, feelings, emotions and thoughts, that’s why we stay in a very strong connection. But some people ignore it, never paying attention to their personal nature.
