Children and dreams
I focus on the subject I want to depict, and think about how I could express the message in the best way.
Peace is established beginning from our surroundings. I believe it starts with loving your siblings, friends, neighbours, nation, neighbouring countries and in the end all the people around the world. Everything starts with living in peace.
My photos were taken in Kocaeli/Turkey. They are composed of many different subjects. I tried to express friendship, brotherhood, peace, nature love, sadness, joy of living, excitement, hope, etc. in short all feelings of man. Here I tried to picture the children, who lost their parents and homes, longing for their beloved ones while getting closely connected to each other. At the end, the children are the ones that are affected the most by wars and terrorism. Each photograph contains a different drawing and different subject.
My aim as a photographer is to get the viewers to question the realities about life through the work I created with a style specific to me.”
We drew the illustrations together with the children in the photos. The children were very happy to be part of the photograph and we had a lot of fun during the drawing and shooting.
