Little Slice of Eel Pie

This project explores the community living on Eel Pie Island in the Thames. The portraits combined with details of the surroundings reflect the lives of the inhabitants of the island. Eel Pie is a little known, but fascinating area of London. In the 60's the island was the centre of the beat movement in south west London; bands such as the Rolling Stones and others were playing there on the weekends. Even though many years have passed since the swinging sixties, the island still remain fascinating for those visitors looking for a retreat in the wild areas, west of the island. The 100 Inhabitants of Eel Pie have many interesting stories to tell. Amongst them you can find artists, boat workers, musicians, designers and of course Trevor the inventor.
