... I have a real fascination for bodies. Well, actually, more for the ”"concept” of body. Opposite to Plato's legacy, I tend to think of them as a concretion of mind in matter world, some kind of these pin art sculptures if you want... Well, not exactly that, as they will be not a physical print, a copy of a pre-existent design, but really the shape drawned by resistance of matter. Not a prison for the mind, a ”shell for an oyster”*, but the very possibility of its existence in a world of physical laws.
Neoplatonists tell us that Vulcan came down to Earth, as an anthropomorphic representation of the Divine Fire, and ended lame because of his fall. So he needs Hyle, or wood, or matter in general, thanks to Aristotle, as a support.
A support, to be able to move, and act, and to be able to be.
But the truth, simply, is that I'm really stunned by this infinity of manifestations, these endless variations, and never cease to find a beauty in these little pieces of divinity.
