Seeking to overtake the limits of space, time and borders, these photographs stay away from the events to reach a silent and contemplative symbolism, questioning our intimate and secret link to the origin, vacuity, and silence itself. They are a bridge towards an inner reality where language and objective « reality » loses their definite and unalterable attribute.
The term « Abyss » refers to the depth of the unconscious and oneiric world.
About author:
Florian Langellier is a 29 year old photographer from France, Normandy.
In 2009, he started photography studies at the Belgian art school « le 75 » in Brussels, gradually going away from the documentary orientation of the school as he moves towards a contemplative approach of photography.
He worked in Belgium and in France, and started a series of travels after his studies.
An attraction to the northern lights, a will to be surrounded by an almost untouched nature and to embody these sensations within photography led him to Scotland, Ireland and Norway.
Several travels to Italy and India inspired him by making a contact with ancients civilisations.
He is now installed in Lyon, France.
