The Book of Miracles

The series is titled after the Augsburg Book of Miracles, a 16th century German illustrated manuscript listing the supernatural phenomena from the Flood to the time of the book’s completion. The events described in the manuscript reveal the involvement of God in the human world.
In contrast, I construct a worldview centered around the consciousness and the cosmos. It is a reading of The Revelation from the point of cosmocentrism, an attempt to disavow the human, but in a way that is still sympathetic to it.
It is a story about the forces that are indifferent to us, capable of our destruction, and about the necessity to seek harmony with these forces. It is about good and bad omens, and the fragility of life.
The production relied on real objects, locations and large-scale models, staged photography with live animals.
