This ongoing project is about traveling, in a both literal and metaphorical sense. According to Homer, Ithaca was Ulysses' motherland, in which he returned ten years after the Trojan War, as a result of the obstacles that he had to encounter in the return journey. Konstantinos Kavafis, with an allegorical mood in his poem "Ithaca", invites us to take the long road to Ithaca (our destination, our goals), in order to gain knowledge and experience, to become wiser. Nowadays, we travel on various occasions. Modern means of transport allow us to reach our destination quickly. On the other hand, we sometimes catch ourselves taking imaginary trips without actually moving places. For some people the destination is important, and for some others, the journey is the most enjoyable aspect of traveling. Sometimes, our dreams that we wish to come true, may be the occasion for a very personal trip to our own "Ithaca"...
