Creative - NOMINEE: Kui Su

My work attempts to show the possibilities of photography in a new form. Based on defamiliarization and re-cognition of things, this group of works called "Daydreams" focuses on small objects that are neglected in life and the potential creativity of ordinary things. It is expected to liberate things that are commonplace from the specific context and inertia of daily life. At the same time, through the creative reconstruction of these everyday objects, I will explore the diversity of photography and carry out personal narrative and innovation with an inclusive attitude.

I believe that it is the inertia of life that gradually smoothes people's perceptions, making it difficult to discover and innovate. At the same time, by letting "things" appear on the scene, showing their artistic value, I want to reflect on people's crazy shopping behavior in the context of consumerism and the excess, waste and forgetting of "things" associated with it.
