Creative - NOMINEE: Sui Sawada

For me, self-portrait is self-understanding and exploration,
not only mysterious or physical, but also a spiritual act of humanity confined within self and a means of self-realization that disperses energy.
on the other hand, Plants is symbolic of all aspects of human life, the richness of life, and the vision of death that will eventually come,
At the same time, it symbolizes the “essence of beauty” and “the immortality of existence” that transcends all that.
My works is created by sublimation of mental energy
and evokes "mythical imagination" where the self and the plant are unconscious.
