Indonesia's Volcanoes

Indonesia is well known for being one of the countries that contains a lot of active volcanoes. some of them are very popular and others are not. The most popular volcanoes for photographers are mount Bromo, mount Ijen and Mount Rinjani beside others of course. These three volcanoes gained their popularity in photography community not just because of their unique shapes but because of the clear dark sky that making them perfect spots for photographing the Milky Way and the night sky where at the nights with no moon it's easy to see the Milky way with the naked eyes. Beside the Milky Way and because of their heights, almost all the nights the sky is perfectly clear making it perfect for star trails photography.
Mount Bromo is one of the most popular if not the most popular volcano in Indonesia because of it's unique shape and the easy way to hike it.
Mount Ijen is another unique volcano located in East Java. what making it special is the cyan lake inside it's crater and the sulfur fire that turns blue at the night.
Mount Rinjani is the second highest volcano in Indonesia. it is located at the north of Lombok island. This volcano is on of the toughest hikes in Indonesia. Many hikers like this volcano because of the challenge where few photographers are hiking it due to the long way with carrying heavy photography gear making it very difficult
